Regular Season Round 4: RO SAzzurra - Moncalieri 58-53

There was a minor upset in Roma where 11th ranked Moncalieri (1-3) was defeated by thirteenth ranked RO SAzzurra (1-3) 58-53 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Francesca Bucchieri (180-2003) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and Elena Sasso (185-2000) who added 13 points during the contest. At the losing side center Clara Salvini (181-1992) responded with 8 points and 11 rebounds and guard Alessia Landi (174-2004) scored 13 points. Moncalieri's coach Paolo Terzolo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. RO SAzzurra left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Moncalieri. RO SAzzurra will meet Roma (#9) in the next round. Moncalieri will play against San Salvatore and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A1 just one year after relegation.
