Regular Season Round 9: Blois - Nancy 62-76

Very expected game when 8th ranked Blois (5-4) was defeated at home by first ranked Nancy (7-1) 76-62 on Saturday. Nancy forced 23 Blois turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Noha Guillaume (199-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Thomas Llaury (191-2003) chipped in 25 points. Four Nancy players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ivorian forward Dominique Diomande (197-2005) who recorded 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Pavel Bronner-Szulc (184-2004) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively. Blois' coach tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nancy have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-1 record. Loser Blois keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Gravelines. Nancy will meet at home Monaco (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
