Important game to mention about took place in Riga. Seventh ranked RSU (2-2) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Liepaja/LSSS (2-3) 49-46 in the game for the third place. RSU forced 21 Liepaja/LSSS turnovers. Liepaja/LSSS was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Anita Mikelsone (178-2001) notched 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Luize Septe (180-1999, college: S.Florida) supported her with 6 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Even 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by Latvian guard Madara Smite (170-2006) did not help to save the game for Liepaja/LSSS. Estonian swingman Estere Petrus (174-2006) added 10 points. RSU moved-up to third place. Liepaja/LSSS lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.
