Regular Season Round 7: Asker Aliens - Froya Basket 66-67

Eighth-ranked Asker Aliens (3-5) gave a tough game to first ranked Froya Basket (8-1) on Saturday. The visitors from Laksevag managed to secure only one-point victory 67-66. However their fans expected much easier game. Froya Basket outrebounded Asker Aliens 51-40 including 36 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Marcus Larsson (209-1999, college: Lourdes) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Canadian forward JD Muila (203-1999, college: SIU) helped adding 14 points and 18 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Joshua Hart (194-1990, college: Va Intermont) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Swedish point guard Sebastian Sjoberg (186-2000) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Froya Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Asker Aliens at the other side keep the eighth position with five games lost. Froya Basket are looking forward to face Kongsberg (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Asker Aliens will play against Nidaros Jets and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
