Regular Season Round 8: Radom - Polonia W-wa 63-58
Date: October 28, 2023
Not a big story in a game in Radom where 14th ranked Polonia (2-5) was defeated by sixth ranked HydroTruck (5-3) 63-58 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. HydroTruck forced 22 Polonia turnovers. Strangely Polonia outrebounded HydroTruck 48-33 including a 38-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Darren Williams (173-2000, college: Hawaii-Hilo) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists and Daniel Wall (196-1982, agency: BIG) who added 9 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. HydroTruck's coach Robert Witka used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Center Damian Cechniak (210-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and guard Maksymilian Motel (194-2000) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. HydroTruck have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bydgoszcz. Loser Polonia keeps the fourteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Przemysl. HydroTruck will meet Niedzwiadki (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Polonia will play against Slask and hope to secure a win.
