Not a big story in a game in Bergen where 9th ranked Gimle (1-6) was defeated by third ranked Centrum (6-2) 84-67 on Sunday. Centrum forced 20 Gimle turnovers. Strangely Gimle outrebounded Centrum 36-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Johan Flaa (185-1999, college: Santa Rosa JC) fired 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Serbian forward Petar Kutlesic (206-1994, college: Azusa Pacific) chipped in 14 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Five Centrum players scored in double figures. Serbian-Montenegrin center Milovan Savic (205-1987) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Reidar Greve (184-2002) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Gimle's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Centrum maintains third place with 6-2 record having just three points less than leader Froya Basket. Gimle lost their fourth game in a row. Defending champion keeps the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Oppsal. Centrum will meet at home Baerum Basket (#6) in the next round. Gimle will play against Ammerud Bskt in Oslo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
