The most interesting game of round 3 was a derby match between two teams from Latvia.A.Kraukla/VEF won against visiting Riga/Ridzene (3-2) 66-51 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Riga/Ridzene. The game was mostly controlled by A.Kraukla/VEF. Riga/Ridzene managed to win fourth quarter 20-18 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. A.Kraukla/VEF dominated on the defensive end, holding Riga/Ridzene to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a good game for Arvids Aizups who led his team to a victory with 12 points. Inguss Gravelsins contributed with 7 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Henrijs Lejnieks (-2008) answered with 19 points and Alekss Kalnins added 4 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Riga/Ridzene. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
