There was no surprise when 9th ranked Forssan Alku (1-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Kouvottaret (3-4)89-71 . The game without a history. Kouvottaret led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kouvottaret forced 20 Forssan Alku turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Forssan Alku's players. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Shaiquel McGruder (183-1999, college: N.Mexico) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Guard ReShawna Stone (168, college: Buffalo) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Kouvottaret's coach Joonas Frimodig allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Shelby Cheslek (196-1992, college: Gonzaga) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jayda Jansen (175, college: Toledo) added 14 points and 5 assists (made all of her eight free throws) in the effort for Forssan Alku. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kouvottaret moved-up to fifth place, which they share with HBA-Marsky. Forssan Alku at the other side stay at the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Espoo Team.
