The game had a very big importance for second-rankedKR as it allowed them to take a leadership position. KR smashed top-ranked Stjarnan 2 in Reykjavik 92-57 . KR dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Stjarnan 2 's 32. KR forced 20 Stjarnan 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 54-30 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. KR looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Michaela Porter (182-1999, college: App State) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Anna Hermannsdottir (178-2006) who added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four KR players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Bo Guttormsdottir-Frost (183-2008) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Elisabet Olafsdottir (182-2007) scored 20 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KR have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. which they share with defeated Stjarnan 2 . Newly promoted Stjarnan 2 still keeps top with three games lost.
