Regular Season Round 6: Palma - L'Hospitalet 85-79

There was a minor upset in S'Arenal where 6th rankedL'Hospitalet (3-3) was defeated by ninth ranked Palma (3-3) 85-79 on Sunday. Palma made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin center Milan Suskavcevic (209-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Jorge Lafuente (197-1991) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American-Bahamas power forward Danrad Knowles (208-1992, college: Houston) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and forward Joan Pardina (202-1993) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. L'Hospitalet's coach Claudio Jorquera tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Palma moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated L'Hospitalet . Palma will meet Alginet (#7) on the road in the next round. L'Hospitalet will play against Santfeliuenc in Sant Feliu and hope to secure a win.
