U19 League top team -Liepaja (5-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Ventspils Spars (3-2) 75-65 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ventspils Spars. Liepaja held Ventspils Spars to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Ventspils Spars were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Martins Kilups (194-2006) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Gustavs Riekstins (-2006) supported him with 7 points and 14 rebounds. Even 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by guard Janis Censonis (185-2005) did not help to save the game for Ventspils Spars . Toms Salnajs (199-2005) added 8 points and 13 rebounds.
