The game in Velika Gorica was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengersHermes (3-3) played at the court of fifth ranked Gorica (4-2). Gorica defeated Hermes 99-87 on Saturday. Gorica dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hermes ' 38. They outrebounded Hermes 39-24 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gorica looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Jure Gunjina (203-1992, college: GSW) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Martin Klepo (193-1999) chipped in 18 points and 8 assists. Gorica's coach Neven Nikolic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Josip Skara (193-1994) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 15 assists and center Ante Smolic (207-1993) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Gorica and five Hermes players scored in double figures. Gorica moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Omis. Loser Hermes dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Samobor and Kastela.
