We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th rankedAgrigento (3-6) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Vigevano (3-6) 85-71 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Ike Smith (193-1997, college: Georgia South) who scored 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import Tyler Wideman (203-1995, college: Butler) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Vigevano players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Lorenzo Ambrosin (195-1997) who recorded 21 points and naturalized Argentinian forward Albano Chiarastella (195-1985, agency: BIG) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Vigevano moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Agrigento . Vigevano will meet higher ranked Rieti Real (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Agrigento will play against Juvi Cremona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
