The game in Akranes was also quite interesting. 7th rankedThor AK (2-5) played at the court of eighth ranked IA (3-4). IA managed to secure a 4-point victory 85-81 on Friday. IA made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Thor AK outrebounded IA 47-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Aamondae Coleman (200-1998, college: FPU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Thordur Jonsson (182-2005) accounted for 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Harrison Butler (196, college: SUU) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Hungarian-American power forward Jason Gigliotti (203-1999, college: UM-Dearborn) added 20 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Thor AK in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. IA moved-up to seventh place. Loser Thor AK dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Selfoss.
