Regular Season Round 7: PVBC - Chartres 68-71

Important game to mention about took place in Voiron. Sixth ranked Chartres (4-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed PVBC (4-3) 71-68 in the fight for the fourth place. Strangely PVBC outrebounded Chartres 33-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Emma Peytour-Raison (172-2000) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points. Center Rosanne Le Seyec (195-2004) helped adding 12 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American guard Alexa Middleton (175-1995, college: Iowa St.) responded with 15 points and 6 assists and forward Fabienne Constant (188-1986, agency: Areus Sports) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Chartres have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated PVBC. Chartres will play against Feytiat (#8) at home in the next round. PVBC will play against the league's second-placed Aulnoye (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
