Regular Season Round 8: Rovigo - Treviso 42-61

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Treviso (5-3) outplayed on the road 11th ranked Rovigo (2-5) 61-42 on Saturday. Treviso forced 21 Rovigo turnovers. The winners were led by Australian forward Chelsea DAngelo (180-2000) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds and Polish Karolina Pobozy (190-1996) supported her with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by forward Sara Zanetti (185-2004) did not help to save the game for Rovigo. Guard Silvia Viviani (165-2001) added 9 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Treviso moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Rovigo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Umbertide and RO SAzzurra. Treviso will meet at home Trieste (#8) in the next round. Rovigo will play against Abano Terme and hope to secure a win.
