Rather expected game when 11th ranked Roche (2-6) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Tarbes (3-4) 66-58 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tarbes made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Marie-Paule Foppossi (185-1998, college: URI) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Camille Droguet (178-1999) who added 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Power forward Assitan Kone (190-1995) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Shaqwedia Wallace (175-1989, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Tarbes moved-up to seventh place. Roche lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Hainaut and Angers. Tarbes will meet at home higher ranked BLMA (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Roche will play against Angers (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
