Regular Season Round 7: Nice - Aulnoye 53-68

Very expected game when 8th ranked Nice (3-4) lost at home to second ranked Aulnoye (5-2) 68-53 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for forward Astou Gaye (189-1998, college: FAU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Mariama Daramy (180-2002) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Forward Lena Timera (190-1994, agency: Areus Sports) came up with 17 points and Nigerian center Blessing Ejiofor (196-1998, college: WVU, agency: Areus Sports) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Nice in the defeat. Aulnoye have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Toulouse and Montbrison. Newly promoted Nice dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. Aulnoye will meet at home PVBC (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nice will play against SIG in llkirch-Graff. and hope to secure a win.
