Regular Season Round 8: Bourges - Angers 79-59

There was no surprise when 9th rankedAngers (2-6) was crushed on the road by second ranked Bourges (7-1) 79-59 on Sunday. Bourges outrebounded Angers 39-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Bourges especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Alix Duchet (165-1997) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian center Kayla Alexander (193-1991, college: Syracuse) who added 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Bourges players scored in double figures. American swingman Jasmine Bailey (176-1990, college: UIC) responded with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Guinean forward Masseny Kaba (191-1998, college: UCF) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bourges have an impressive five-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Villeneuve lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Angers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with Hainaut and Roche.
