Regular Season Round 9: Alpo - Ancona 76-62

Everything went according to plan in Verona where seventh ranked Alpo (6-3) beat 9th ranked Ancona (4-5) 76-62 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was power forward Alice Nori (183-1993) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Anna Turel (174-2002) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Margherita Mataloni (170-1995) who recorded 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian Sara Boric (179-2000) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Alpo moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Ancona keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Alpo will meet at home league's second-placed Udine in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ancona will play against Treviso (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
