Regular Season Round 12: Udine - Nardo 79-57

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Udine (9-3) outscored at home 5th ranked Nardo (7-5) 79-57 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Mirza Alibegovic (196-1992) who scored 18 points. American guard Jason Clark (189-1990, college: Georgetown) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Udine's coach Adriano Vertemati felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Matteo Parravicini (187-2001) who recorded 9 points and 6 assists and the former international power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (208-1991) added 9 points respectively. Udine moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Nardo keeps the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Milano Urania and Rieti Real. Udine will meet Piacenza (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Nardo will play against Forli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
