Regular Season Round 9: Zadar Plus - Medvescak 66-61

The game between second ranked Medvescak (7-2) and ninth ranked Zadar Plus (4-5) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Medvescak was defeated by Zadar Plus in a tough game in Zadar 61-66. It was a good game for American forward Saquita Joyner (177-2000, college: Coker) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Swingman Iva Bosnjak (182-2001) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Vivien Nejasmic (182-2004) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and guard Katarina Sekulic (175-2004) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Medvescak. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zadar Plus moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Rijeka. Medvescak at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Zadar Plus is looking forward to face Rijeka (#7) on the road in the next round. Medvescak will play against KAZL Split (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
