Rather expected game when 6th rankedHaukar (6-6) was defeated on the road by third ranked Njardvik (9-3) 78-60 on Wednesday. Njardvik made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Haukar turnovers. The best player for the winners was Danish power forward Emilie Hesseldal (185-1990, college: Colorado St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 20 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. Croatian forward Andjela Strize (175-1999) chipped in 23 points. Four Njardvik players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Rosa Petursdottir (175-1997) who recorded 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Thora Jonsdottir (173-1997) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Grindavik.
