The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Helsinki:Torpan Pojat (#1) and Marsky Helsinki (#5). Torpan Pojat (12-0) smashed visiting Marsky Helsinki (4-7) by 60 points 114-54 . The game without a history. ToPo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Marsky Helsinki to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Torpan Pojat dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Marsky Helsinki 's 30. Torpan Pojat forced 38 Marsky Helsinki turnovers and outrebounded them 42-21 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Torpan Pojat looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Marsky Helsinki 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and the other American import power forward Carmen Tyson-Thomas (175-1991, college: Syracuse) who added 29 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Torpan Pojat players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Albina Syla (194-2004) with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Kenisha Williams (175-2004) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ToPo have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-0 record. HBA-Marsky lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost.
