There was no surprise in Uusikaupunki where 10th rankedBisons (2-11) was defeated by fourth ranked Korihait (9-4) 102-96 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bisons trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 26-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 96-102 at the end of the game. Korihait shot 63.1 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Korihait especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American power forward Javion Ogunyemi (206-1995, college: Siena) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and Bosnian point guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-1988) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. At the losing side American DeVante Brooks (198, college: S.Arkansas, agency: Players Group) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import center Dylan Painter (208-1998, college: Delaware) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Five Korihait and four Bisons players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Korihait moved-up to second place, which they share with Nokia. Bisons lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Lahti.
