Regular Season Round 9: CFBB - Montbrison 51-58

No shocking result in a game in Paris where third ranked Montbrison (6-3) defeated 11th ranked CFBB (1-8) 58-51 on Saturday. Montbrison forced 19 CFBB turnovers. American forward Kendall Cooper (193-1995, college: Duke) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Emma Villas-Gomis (190-1998, college: N.Texas) chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Nell Angloma (181-2006) with 12 points and 8 rebounds and center Sarah Cisse (187-2007) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. Montbrison maintains third place with 6-3 record behind leader Toulouse, which they share with Chartres. CFBB lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with SIG. Montbrison will meet at home Champagne (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play against Champagne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
