Regular Season Round 10: ZKK Split - Zagreb 70-55

ZKK Split has finally registered their first victory this season after nine consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Zagreb (0-10) 70-55 on Sunday. ZKK Split outrebounded Zagreb 49-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. British forward Dora Cipcic (178-1998, college: Georgian Court) had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tea Turic (178-1998) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side guard Rezo Blazenka (176-1996) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Marija Jerkovic (175-1997) scored 16 points. Zagreb's coach Zvonimir Osican rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ZKK Split (1-9) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. It was Zagreb's tenth loss in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. ZKK Split are looking forward to face higher ranked Brod na Savi (#10) in Slavonski Brod in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zagreb's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zagreb Medvescak.
