The game had a very big importance for third-rankedQuimper UJAP as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Quimper UJAP defeated 12th ranked Poissy at home 81-67 . Quimper forced 20 Poissy turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Kenyan-American forward Joel Awich (201-1993, college: Cal Poly) nailed 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and guard Johan Randriamananjara (199-2000) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists. Quimper UJAP's coach Thibault Wolicki used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Sebastien Michineau (182-1991, college: S.Idaho JC) came up with 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Olivier Yao-Delon (194-1995) added 16 points respectively for Poissy in the defeat. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Newly promoted Poissy dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Orchies.
