Bottom-rankedASA managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of seven consecutive losses. This time they outleveled fifteenth-ranked Aix-Maurienne in Gries 80-57 . It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 23-point difference suggests that ASA is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Aix-Maurienne 's 24. ASA forced 19 Aix-Maurienne turnovers and outrebounded them 46-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Carl Ponsar (203-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points. Center Yvann MBaya (209-2001) helped adding 8 points and 11 rebounds. American guard KJ Jackson (187-1998, college: UMBC) responded with 14 points and 4 steals and Kittitian-American swingman Shaun Willett (193-1996, college: Queens, NC) scored 9 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ASA (3-8) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Aix-Maurienne .
