Very expected game when 16th rankedKalmar (3-11) was smashed by third ranked Hogsbo (10-3) in Goteborg 103-81 on Saturday. Hogsbo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Alexander Karras (193-1998, college: E.Wyoming) who led the winners and scored 27 points. Croatian power forward Tony Vitali (203-1991) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Hogsbo players scored in double figures. Hogsbo's coach Thomas Stansfield felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Justin Tuckson (180-1996, college: Clayton St.) came up with 25 points and forward Carl Birgemo (199-2002) added 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for Kalmar in the defeat.
