There was no surprise when 9th rankedCividale (4-11) was outplayed at home by seventh ranked Piacenza (8-7) 85-62 on Saturday. Piacenza dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Cividale 's 24. Piacenza forced 21 Cividale turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Gherardo Sabatini (183-1994) who scored 5 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Michele Serpilli (201-1999) chipped in 16 points. Four Piacenza players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Argentinian point guard Lucio Redivo (183-1994) who recorded 12 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Gabriele Miani (202-2000, agency: SLN) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Piacenza . They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Treviglio and Juvi Cremona. Loser Cividale keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost.
