The most exciting game of round 14 in the Korisliiga took place in Vimpeli. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th rankedVimpelin Veto (6-8) to eighth ranked Kouvottaret (4-8) 79-78 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vimpelin Veto. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-12 . But ViVe won second period 24-16 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. Forward Shaiquel McGruder (183-1999, college: N.Mexico) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Guard ReShawna Stone (168, college: Buffalo) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Sam Breen (185, college: UMass, agency: LBM Management) replied with 31 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks and forward Sirena Tuitele (185, college: California) added 27 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Vimpelin Veto. Kouvot moved-up to sixth place. ViVe at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost.
