Regular Season Round 14: GTK - Sokol 87-100

There was a minor upset when 13th rankedGTK (5-9) lost to sixteenth ranked Sokol (4-10) in Gliwice 87-100 on Friday. Sokol made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Tyler Cheese (193-1996, college: Akron) notched 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Latvian forward Janis Berzins (201-1993) supported him with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 24 points and 11 assists by Jamaican-Canadian guard Kadre Gray (186-1997, college: Laurentian) did not help to save the game for GTK . American guard Terry Henderson Jr (196-1994, college: NC State) added 21 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Five Sokol and four GTK players scored in double figures. GTK's coach Pawel Turkiewicz tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sokol moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Zastal. Loser GTK keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost.
