The game had a very big importance for second-rankedPodgorica 2 as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Podgorica 2 smashed 7th ranked Balkanski Ris at home 102-67 . Podgorica 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Balkanski Ris ' 32. Podgorica 2 forced 40 Balkanski Ris turnovers and outrebounded them 43-25 including a 21-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Podgorica 2 players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Aljosa Draskovic (187-2006) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Marko Radunovic (198-2006) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Podgorica 2 players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ivan Zejak (203-1987) responded with 28 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and Ivan Jeknic scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Podgorica 2 have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Balkanski Ris at the other side dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. They share the position with Rudar.
