There was no surprise when 12th rankedMilano (1-10) was crushed on the road by second ranked Schio (10-1) 84-58 on Saturday. Schio outrebounded Milano 48-34 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Schio looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Robyn Parks (185-1992, college: VCU) stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and international point guard Costanza Verona (170-1999) chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Schio players scored in double figures. Schio's coach Georgios Dikaioulakos felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Susanna Toffali (174-1998) responded with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Elisabetta Penz (170-1996) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Schio . Defending champion maintains second place with 10-1 record behind leader Venezia. Milano lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost.
