Very expected game when 9th rankedOurense (7-8) was smashed on the road by third ranked Coruna (11-4) 106-77 on Friday. Coruna made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American-Cuban swingman Yunio Barrueta (196-1993, college: Barry) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Latvian point guard Ingus Jakovics (186-1993) accounted for 7 points and 10 assists for the winning side. Four Coruna players scored in double figures. Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-1990) came up with 27 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Javier Santana (190-1999) added 15 points respectively for Ourense in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Coruna have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 11-4 record behind leader Estudiantes, which they share with Gipuzkoa. Ourense at the other side keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Melilla and Oviedo.
