LeaderSeagulls delivered the fifteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Karhubasket (9-8) 93-87 in Helsinki. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Karhubasket. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 6 points. Seagulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of Nigerian-American forward Chuba Ohams (206-1997, college: Fordham) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Qua Grant (185, college: SHSU) who added 27 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international Topias Palmi (195-1994, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Samuel Givens (198-1989, college: Drexel) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Seagulls (15-1) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Loser Karhubasket dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost.
