No shocking result in a game when third rankedGdynia (9-3) smashed at home 8th ranked Torun (3-9) 88-54 on Saturday. Gdynia dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Torun 's 18 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Torun 45-20 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gdynia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Rennia Davis (188-1999, college: Tennessee) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and her fellow American import forward Mikayla Cowling (188-1996, college: California, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Gdynia players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Asia Strong (188-2000, college: Syracuse) responded with 16 points and the former international Angelika Stankiewicz (170-1995, agency: SPORTFORUM Agency) scored 15 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gdynia have a solid series of four victories in a row.
