Regular Season Round 9: H.Jerusalem - H.Be'er Sheva 77-71

Date: January 1, 2024
Bottom-ranked Hapoel Jerusalem managed to get a second victory. This time they won against ninth-ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva 77-71. It was a good game for American point guard Kenneth Smith (191-1993, college: La Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists. American-Jamaican guard Brynton Lemar (193-1995, college: UC Davis) contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international swingman Egor Koulechov (196-1994, college: Florida, agency: Avi Zilberman) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Jakeenan Gant (203-1996, college: Louisiana) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for H.Be'er Sheva. Hapoel Beer Sheva's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. H.Jerusalem (2-3) moved-up to ninth place. H.Be'er Sheva at the other side dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. H.Jerusalem will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. H.Be'er Sheva will play at home against M.Ramat Gan (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
