We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Egilsstadir where 8th rankedHottur (6-6) was defeated by ninth ranked Grindavik (6-6) 78-71 on Thursday. Grindavik forced 20 Hottur turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard Dedrick Basile (178-1994, college: CSUB) who scored 19 points and 9 assists. Danish forward Daniel Mortensen (204-1994, college: Barry) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Grindavik players scored in double figures.
