D1 top team -IR (10-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Hrunamenn (2-9) in Fludir 116-92 . IR forced 19 Hrunamenn turnovers and outrebounded them 37-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. IR shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a quality performance for Oscar Jorgensen who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 assists. American swingman Lamar Morgan (196-1997, college: Coppin St., agency: Helping Ballers) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Finnish center Aleksi Liukko (211-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American Chance Hunter (198-1998, college: Cal Poly) added 23 points respectively for Hrunamenn in the defeat. Five IR and four Hrunamenn players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. IR have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Hrunamenn at the other side keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
