The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedAIK Basket (15-2) on the court of fifteenth ranked Kalmar on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Kalmar 108-80 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AIK Basket. Kalmar shot 66.7 percent from the field. Kalmar had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 58.6 percentage. Kalmar looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by AIK Basket 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Justin Tuckson (180-1996, college: Clayton St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists and forward Carl Birgemo (199-2002) who added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Elias Nilsson (188-2003) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and naturalized Turkish Erkan Inan (195-1989) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AIK Basket's coach Fred Drains gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kalmar (4-11) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with RIG Mark. AIK Basket at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Kalmar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. AIK Basket will play on the road against Djurgarden in Stockholm and is hoping to win this game.
