Regular Season Round 17: Ravenna - Faenza 79-71

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Ravenna (9-8) won against at home 8th ranked Faenza (9-8) 79-71 on Sunday. Francesco Bedetti (195-1993, agency: SLN) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and point guard Lorenzo Panzini (185-1990) chipped in 16 points. Francesco Papa (198-1995, agency: Players Group) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Giovanni Poggi (201-1997) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ravenna moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Faenza. Ravenna will meet at home Lumezzane (#12) in the next round. Faenza will play against Mestre (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
