Ninth-rankedFerrol (8-8) gave a tough game to third ranked Zaragoza (13-3). The visitors from Zaragoza managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69 . However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ferrol. They outrebounded Ferrol 38-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Czech guard Petra Holesinska (178-1997, college: UNC) who scored that evening 14 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Vega Gimeno (185-1991, college: RMU) supported her with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Rachel Howard (178-1995, college: USF) did not help to save the game for Ferrol . Forward Gala Mestres (185-1994, college: Mount Royal) added 20 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Zaragoza moved-up to second place, which they share with Avenida. Newly promoted Ferrol dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Ensino.
