Regular Season Round 11: Partizan - Montana 87-62

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Beograd. Third ranked SerbianPartizan faced second-ranked Bulgarian Montana . Host Partizan (6-5) smashed guests from Montana (6-4) 87-62 . The game was mostly controlled by Partizan. Montana was better in fourth quarter 18-15 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Partizan dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Montana 's 20. Partizan forced 26 Montana turnovers and outrebounded them 49-28 including a 14-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Partizan players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Jovana Boricic (179-2003) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Andjela Marojevic (175-2004) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Partizan's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Charisse Fairley (180-1999, college: CSU-Pueblo) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Borislava Dencheva (172-2002) added 23 points and 5 steals in the effort for Montana. Partizan maintains third place with 6-5 record having five points less than leader Buducnost which they share with defeated Montana . Montana at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost.
