Very expected game in Akureyri where 12th rankedSnaefell (2-10) was defeated by eighth ranked Thor (5-7) 113-100 . Thor dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Snaefell 's 56. Thor forced 20 Snaefell turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for Hungarian-American power forward Jason Gigliotti (203-1999, college: UM-Dearborn) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Harrison Butler (196, college: SUU) contributed with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Thor AK's coach Oskar Thorsteinsson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Jaeden King (198, college: St.Xavier) replied with 43 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and Serbian-Croatian power forward Pavle Kraljic (207-2000) added 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Snaefell. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Thor moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Skallagrimur. Snaefell lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. They share it with Armann and Hrunamenn.
