Regular Season Round 13: I.Ness Ziona - H.Jerusalem 74-77

The most exciting game of round 13 in the Winner League took place in Nes Ziyona. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of much higher rankedIroni Nes-Ziona (7-4) to fifth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (6-3) 77-74 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ironi Nes-Ziona. H.Jerusalem made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Chris Johnson (198-1990, college: Dayton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). His fellow American import point guard Kenneth Smith (191-1993, college: La Tech) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American Rawle Alkins (197-1997, college: Arizona) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Itay Segev (204-1995, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for I.Ness Ziona. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ironi Nes-Ziona's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Jerusalem have an impressive series of five victories in a row. H.Jerusalem maintains fifth place with 6-3 record. I.Ness Ziona at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
