There was no surprise when 9th rankedCremona (8-9) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Reggio Emilia (10-7) 78-71 on Sunday. Reggio Emilia dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Cremona 's 18. American Kevin Hervey (206-1996, college: UT Arlington) stepped up and scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Senegalese center Mouhamed Faye (206-2005) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Reggio Emilia players scored in double figures. Davide Denegri (184-1998, agency: SLN) responded with 19 points and 5 assists and Cameroonian power forward Paul Eboua (203-2000, agency: SLN) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Reggio Emilia maintains sixth place with 10-7 record. Newly promoted Cremona keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Scafati.
