One of the most interesting games of round 21 was a derby match between two teams from Latvia. Eighth rankedRSU won against host BJBS Riga (1-11) 56-46 . RSU forced 22 BJBS Riga turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when RSU made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was swingman Anita Mikelsone (178-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Paula Cirsa (176-2003) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. RSU's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Franciska Treiliha (177-2004) who recorded 24 points and forward Sarlote Petersone (173-2003) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively. RSU (8-7) moved-up to seventh place. Loser BJBS Riga dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost.
