Very expected game in Hod Hasharon where 10th rankedAfula (4-8) was defeated by sixth ranked Bnei Hertzeliya (7-4) 81-75 on Wednesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely H.Afula outrebounded Bnei Hertzeliya 45-30 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bnei Hertzeliya made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was naturalized American Adrian Banks (191-1986, college: Arkansas St.) who scored 18 points and 4 assists. American Tyler Stone (203-1991, college: SEMO) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Marcellus Earlington (201-2000, college: San Diego) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Cameron Shelton (188-1999, college: LMU) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four H.Afula players scored in double figures. Bnei Hertzeliya have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. H.Afula lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with eight games lost.
